Fabián Aimar is an actor, director and writer who was born in Santa Fe, Argentina. He began acting in his youth under the direction of Sergio Cangiano at the Teatro Arenas. From 1986 onwards, he devoted himself entirely to acting. Together with other artists, he founded the CreArte theater group in South America in 1988, whose productions have won several awards, including the prestigious “Estrella de Mar” (Argentina). He is a member of the General Society of Authors of Argentina, where he has published his own works. Aimar produced the original Cuban version of “Strawberry and Chocolate” in collaboration with the UNEAC – Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba. In addition, he has repeatedly organized tours with the Fouette Ballet Moscow and numerous tours with prominent personalities of the international dance scene such as Julio Bocca Teatro Colón Arg.), Maximiliano Guerra, Iñaki Urlezaga (Royal Ballet London). Aimar is the author of the world’s first adaptation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s “The Little Prince” as a musical comedy. Aimar worked as a television producer for “Inversiones Anellis” – Canal Azul Tenerife (Canary Island), where he had a very successful on-air magazine for three years and also worked as an editor for the magazine “Temas”.
Already based in Germany, he wrote a series of plays, some of which have already been performed on the local scene.
He began his work as a producer and director in the dance theater sector in Europe in 2017 at tanzbar_bremen. Here he was co-organizer and curator of the international festival for inclusive dance art eigenARTig in 2018 and 2020 and also developed formats such as “Buntgemischt” (coffee concert) in 2018 and “Made in Deutschland – Bauhaus” (dance theatre piece) in 2020.
He is co-founder of ProdÁrt e.V. and artistic director of the association. In recent years, he has created several pieces for ProdÁrt. Among others, “Anatomy of Diversity” (2024), “5 Minutes Home” (2022), “GreisDrei” (2022), “Tender Gender” (2023) and gave several theater workshops and courses.
